En tant qu’étudiante, j’ai réalisé un stage en Chine, voici le mail que j’ai reçu en août 2006 de la part de mon maître de stage sur place :

"Dear My Friends,

As you know the most serious drought took place everywhere in Chongqing and some poor farmers have the food security problem, I hope all of us can contribute ourselves to helping these farmers who are suffering from this drought disaster.

Currently I am collecting some information about this drought disaster everyday at my office. And some information make me very painful. Especially many farmers who are lack of water and food are moving to bigger cities and try to find a small job to avoid hungriness. But it is really difficult for them due to huge population in China everywhere.

For them moment, the only solution for poor farmers to solve food security is to plant some autumn potato in some areas. But they have not enough money to buy seed potatoes. Recently I generated an idea for helping some poor farmers and I would like to share it with my friends, especially with my Belgian friends.

Do you remember two villages ? One village is Named Qiaoliang Village, Qianjiang Minority District, Chongqing, another one is Youshan Village with a lot of sweetpotato noodle process workshops, Pengshui Minority County, Chongqing. Most of my friends visited both of villages during your study tour or training period previously. Now both of two Villages exists the same problem caused by this serious drought. So, I hope we can raise some money for these farmers in the two villages to buy some seed potatoes. I think we need not care about the amount of money. Any kind and charitable action should be appreciated. Of course, there are many farmers in Chongqing suffering from this disaster. But we can do our best to help part of them, even little of them.
